This Celebrate the Summer Heat with Bomb Pops post is on behalf of a campaign I participated with Mom Central Consulting for Bomb Pop. I received product samples, a party kit, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
How do you Celebrate the Summer? We celebrate by being outdoors as much as possible. Our winters are long, and the kids spend a lot of the cooped up either in school or the house. So when summer finally arrives, you can find us, and all of our neighbors outside enjoying the weather.
Celebrate The Summer
Our neighborhood happens to have a lot of kids, which has always been something I have loved about this area. Our summer has been on the cold side up until just a few weeks ago when it turned very hot and steamy. Hot and steamy does one of two things, makes everyone want to stay in the air conditioning or come outside and celebrate the summer cold water and ice pops.
All three of our kids are on swim team and tend to get a little burned out with going to the pool. However, that does not prevent them from wanting to still play in the water. We tend to be the gathering place for several kids in our neighborhood. On a particularly hot day, 92 degrees, we decided to get out some things to help the kids cool down and have a Bomb Pop Party!
Of course no backyard party would be complete without a Slip N Slide. The kids love taking running dives onto the Slip N Slide, while others enjoyed a game of Bomb Pop Home Run Toss. Our one neighbor had recently sustained an pretty severe injury while ice skating. While she could not get it wet she really enjoyed tossing balls with some of the other kids.
When my little guy Ethan moved over to the Home Run Toss, he decided that it would be much easier to sit right in front of the game and put the balls right through the home run hole.
Finally, after all the playing it was time to really cool off with some Bomb Pops. There is so much more variety of Bomb Pops than ever before. I have always loved The Original red, white and blue Bomb Pop, but now they come in Hawaiian Punch flavor, Sour Wower, and The Original in Sugar Free. As much as I love The Original, the Hawaiian Punch was very refreshing too! Sour Wower was definitely sour, and a huge hit with the kids!
Bomb Pop is also an official sponsor of Little League Baseball and Softball? None of my children play on Little League or a Softball team, but I know who many who do. It is a great summer sport for kids!
