For the past several years, I have been making all my Christmas cards by hand. Grant it, there have been a couple of years that I did not get out nearly as many cards as I wanted. However, I love how personable a handmade card appears.
Lucky for me, this is BIC’s Month of Merry Marking. As part of their Merry Marking Month, BIC is challenging us to use their Mark-It permanent markers to get crafty for the holiday season and make something inspirational.
I need to get moving on my holiday cards, and with the use of BIC Mark-It™ I will have no problem having very colorful holiday cards. In fact, BIC Mark-It™ permanent markers offer 44 vibrant, long lasting colors for endless inspiration! The bold, fade-resistant ink is low odor and acid free (no added acid, no measurable pH) so you don’t need to worry! You can also find BIC Mark-It™ permanent markers available in 36 packs of fine or ultra-fine bold, vibrant colors or the 8 pack of metallic colors.
For my Merry Marking using the BIC Mark-It™ permanent markers I was assigned the color Margarita Green to use. I enjoy making cards that are ornate to those that are more simple in design.
It was super easy to make this card. All I did was get 3 pieces of card stock, snail adhesive, rubber stamps, and ink pads.
I started out by cutting the three pieces of card stock down to card size. The bottom piece is 9 1/4 x 6 1/4, and then folded in half. The center piece of paper is 4 1/4 x 5 3/4. The very top is 4 x 5 1/2.
From there I used the snail adhesive to attach the middle piece of paper to the bottom card. I then stamped my images on to the top piece of paper, and colored it in using the BIC Mark-It™ permanent markers in Margarita Green. Once that was done, I used the snail adhesive to attach that to the very top of the card! Voilà, you’re all done!
If you want to add more to the inside, you can use another rubber stamp then leave it or color it in. Or, you can just write your own personal note at that point.

I am nominating some of my favorite blogger friends to the join me in on BIC’s Month of Merry Marking! Those bloggers include Ashley S, Brett M., Dawn L. and Jennifer S. Of course there are at least 20 other names I’d like to throw in there…but I will still with these!
