Since Stampin’ Up released their 2015 Holiday Catalog, I have seen so many gorgeous cards made with the Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set. I was so excited to finally get this set ordered, I could hardly wait to use it when it finally arrived in my most recent order.
Lighthearted Leaves is one of those sets that can be used to create holiday specific cards such as Thanksgiving, seasonal cards for the Fall, or used as a stand alone for a general greeting card.
For the most recent Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, I decided to make a handmade Thanksgiving Card.
Handmade Thanksgiving Card
The most recent sketch for Mojo Monday is Sketch 418, which was the inspiration for today’s card.
For this card, I wanted to highlight all of the details within the leaves by using gold embossing powder. I thought the gold would look really nice on some fall colored paper too. I chose the leafs to be in the colors of Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, and Tangerine Tango. After embossing and using the Leaflets Framelits Dies to cut out the leaf, I then used a Stampin’ Chalk Marker to accent certain details of the leaves.
On the left side of the card, I used the gold glimmer paper to really set off all the gold in the leaves and the sentiment. I love how this card turned out. It is a very sparkly thanksgiving card! 🙂
Below I have a recipe of all the products I used to make this card:
