Happy Valentine’s Day Blogging Friends Monthly Blog Hop

Can you feel the love 💗 in the air yet? Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. What better way to celebrate than with a “Love” theme for the this month’s blog hop. In today’s unsettled nation, I think we could all use a little love. 💖 Here’s to a Happy Valentine’s Day for all!

I can barely even contain my excitement with this months special guest hopping with us,  Tami White of Stampin’ With Tami. I have been a long-time fan of hers. She has the most bubbly personalities, and offers a very diverse blend of showing off Stampin’ Up! products. She also has a great show that was on Periscope, but is now on Facebook Live. Plus, she’s so “stinkin’ cute!”.

Happy Valentine's Day with card inspiration from Stampin' Up!

Happy Valentine’s Day

With this first card, I took advantage of some of the Between The Lines Designer Series Paper that is outlined and colored using the new Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. The flowers are colored in Calypso Coral, with the inner parts colored in with Daffodil Delight. All of the stems are colored using Old Olive.

To show off as much of the colored bunch of flowers as possible, I added the sentiment on Vellum Cardstock towards the top of the card. It was then heat embossed the sentiment using Calypso Coral Embossing Powder. I then took advantage of the Scenic Sayings Stamp Set, and combined two of the stamps to create the “Love You”.

The finishing touches on this card were to add the Subtle Enamel Shapes in Calypso Coral. I love that the enamel shapes include hearts and stars now.

Bloomin’ Heart

My next card was created using Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Dies. This card was created using the colors Melon Mambo and Basic Gray.

Happy Valentine's Day with Stampin Up cards.

The Basic Gray Cardstock was dry embossed using the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then added Metallic Ribbon, which I received as a free product from Sale-A-Bration.

I then incorporated the Love sentiment from the Jars of Love Stamp Set. The sentiment was heat embossed with Melon Mambo Embossing Power, which added a bit a “pop”. Lastly, I layered a scallopped Basic Gray circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and popped up with Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my projects!

I’m always fearful of using colorful embossing powders. Yours came out splendidly. A uniquely different and refreshing Valentine card.
