I love the smell of candles, and how warm and cozy they make the house feel. I used to light candles all the time, but then stopped when I met my husband since he has very bad allergies. Over the past few years I have managed to find scents that do not aggravate his allergies, the only thing now is that I get worried about the dangers of having a lite candle with smaller children. Even though I have the candles set in places that are higher, or in a place that they are not around I still get nervous about something happening.

Wickless Scented Candles

I am now starting to really appreciate wickless scented candles such as Scentsy and battery operated LED lights. There are some very pretty battery operated candles that are scented! They have all the properties of a traditional candle, such as making the home feel warm and cozy and a creating great ambiance. Although, what the most is that they are completely safe.

I think my husband being a fireman may have a little to do with my fear of candles in the home. You hear stories about things happening, even when safety precautions are put into place. I really like that more candle companies are trending towards wickless candles. Overall, it is so much safer.

What is funny is that until my sister bought a Scentsy candle just over a year ago, I did not realize they were wickless. I had been so far removed from buying candles that I had never really taken the time to find out what Scentsy is all about. That is pretty silly, right? The only thing I wish about Scentsy is that their catalogs could be scratch and sniff. It is so hard to determine how their bars are going to smell by description alone.

I love to hear from you! What are your thoughts on candles? If you do use Scentsy, I would like to hear what your favorite scents are, and which one’s are your least favorite.

I also love candles and burn them every night after dinner. I dim the lights and try and relax and enjoy their fragance — my daily indulgence

  2. Years ago I did buy a few candles that when they burned I began to sneeze. Thank you. Jerri Davis

I too love candles and burn them often. I also like to use oil warmers with tea lites due to exactly what you were saying about candles. I am still worried that I might leave the house with one burning. Now I only burn a couple and have them set in the same place all the time so I can easily check to see if they are out. I had not heard of Scentsy candles until recently and everyone seems to love them so I will definitely give them a try to see if they work!

This is a great idea love this.

  5. I gave up on candles because of the child and the dog. Always afraid. My friend had one where the wick kinda moved and heated the glass that it exploded all over her living room. I have not tried the the wickless but always wondering how long the scent lasts. I do remember in the winter time taking my almost gone candles and putting them in the car for air fresheners. That works great in colder weather.

I would love to have more candles than I do.
