Indoor House Plants Repurposed For The Holidays

Repurpose indoor house plants for the holidays! A festive way to dress up your home.

I love Norfolk Pines. They make such great indoor interest, especially during the winter months when there is nothing in the midwest that is “green”. Plus, they make decorating easy for other holidays besides Christmas!

The other day my kids were asking each other what their favorite season was and why. Of course, all three said Summer – no school, pool, and warm. When they asked me, I said spring. I enjoy seeing everything come to life. The grass starts greening up, the trees start getting little buds on them, you can see all their new growth, and you can see all the little flower buds popping out of the ground.

This Norfolk Island Pine is from Costa Farms, an online gardening site. I have gotten Dahlia and Tulip bulbs from gardening sites and have excellent luck! In fact, Spring bulbs, such as Dahlia, Begonia, Peony, and my all time favorite Calla Lily, will be available soon for shipping. I just love how that little bit of work it takes to plant the bulbs pays off tenfold when they all start blooming.

Since I have these cute Norfolk Pine’s, I wanted to use some of the cute Stampin’ Up products I have for the holiday. I actually do have a second Norfolk that I am leaving for the kids to decorate. I wanted to surprise them when they got home from school today with the decorations on this one.
