Making Holiday Cards for 2015 & New Weekly Deals

There is nothing I enjoy more these days then when I get the time to do some crafting with Stampin’ Up. I Adore their products and find that time incredibly relaxing. In fact, crafting is a great way to relieve stress. I should be a very relaxed person between rubber stamping, crochet, and knitting. That does not seem to be the case.

Making Holiday Cards

Be that as it may, I started making holiday cards this weekend with some new Stampin’ Up Products. I received my order this past weekend with products from the 2015 Holiday catalog that Stampin’ Up released on September 1st.

Below is my first Stampin’ Up video for YouTube showcasing the box of products I had just received:

With having just received my order, and wanting to have more of an online presence with my Stampin’ Up I joined a weekly card sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday. Actually, I have been checking out the card sketch challenges a lot. Since I just received my order, I figured it was the perfect time to just jump in and start this week. The card sketch this week is Mojo Monday 414. I’m a little late for the “Monday” sketch, but better late than never. 🙂

Above is the sketch is used for inspiring me with my first holiday card for the season, using the new Happy Scenes Stamp Set.

I really love how versatile this stamp set is for all the upcoming holidays. It is a really fun set to use for this project to have a centered focal point.

I created the card using Real Red, Whisper White, and Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the image in Mossy Meadow, and then added snowflakes in the corner in Soft Sky. I used Dazzling Details then to add some sparkle to the snowflakes in the corner, as well as the trees. The sentiment “Celebrate The Season” was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Now for confession time, the stars that are stamped using a very old stamp set from (cough, cough) 2000 called Mini Medley Stamp Set!  Next on my list of things to order is a new set of stamps that include snowflakes like Flurry of Wishes from the 2015 Holiday Catalog Below is my project supply list.
