New Netflix Marvel’s Series Premiere – Luke Cage
Show Synopsis: Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is left with super strength and unbreakable skin after exposure to a sabotaged experiment. He then becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Here is a sneak peak of the soon to be released Luke Cage:
Mike Colter plays the charismatic lead character, Luke Cage. He is joined by Mahershala Ali (Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (Shades), Frank Whaley (Rafael Scarfe) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).
Sidenote: I am so excited to see Mahershala Ali starring in this series. Over the summer I binge watch The 4400 on Netflix, which also starred Mahershala Ali. By the way, The 4400 is an awesome series to binge watch.
Marvel’s Luke Cage is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (Southland, Ray Donovan), Charles Murray (Roots) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
Have you seen any of the Marvel’s shows on Netflix? I’ve watched Marvel’s Daredevil, which is good. I need to see Marvel’s Jessica Jone’s yet.
