Do you have children who like to live life on the edge? If so, they probably put you a little on edge as well. If you have the children who like to do stunts then they would probably love a camera that could video tape all of their stunts while being performed. The Action Shot Camera may be the easiest camera you can find to take live video of stunts.
The Action Shot Camera itself is from JAKKS Pacific, Inc., retails for $49.99, and Includes the following: helmet mount, adhesive mount, protective or mounting case, USB connection
Deluxe Mounting Kit which retails for $24.99, comes with additional mounting accessories, including the mounting bracket I used on the scooters!
I did find the Action Shot Camera to be easy to operate once I got it figured out. I did have a few run-ins with user error, but nothing that could not be fixed. I just had to take several videos on a few different days! Initially when I tried to used the Action Shot Camera it had already gotten a little dark out. I initially had the camera on Megan’s scooter, which you can see below. But by the time we really got the video shot it was already too dark. At one point I had the camera upside down so the whole video was recorded upside down. Luckily that is easy to fix by either attaching the camera correctly (duh) or using video editing software to flip it around. The other error I experienced was not having it on the mounting bracket securely. When the video was recording with Megan riding her scooter the camera actually fell off and went tumbling onto the sidewalk. Luckily the camera is placed in a secure housing unit and absolutely no damage occurred to the camera or even the housing unit. I guess if you are testing how durable it is, then yes – it is durable!

Below is the video tape while Anna is riding the scooter during the daylight. This camera is definitely best for filming during the daylight. Also, this camera films in SD (Standard Definition), which means the images aren’t as crisp as they could be. If image quality is import to you, then be sure to check out the HD (High Definition) version of the Action Shot Camera that retails for $99.99. Also, the Action Shot Camera allows for external memory storage via the microSD card slot, though its internal memory can store approximately 1.5 minutes of video.
Overall I think this is a great, fun video camera! I can truly see my kids having fun with this unit more and more as they get older and get a little more daring. If you are looking for any last minute Christmas presents – this is the way to go!

I sure would like to record a trip down the ski bunny trail or when we go snow tubing! Relive the ride each time you watch it,!
Price isn’t bad and as long as its easy. I like this camera.
This looks like a really good value. My nephew would love this. He’s always doing stunts so he would get a kick out of filming himself. Thanks for the review =D
I got the kids one thanks to your review keep up the good work.
My nephew is trying to be a free-skier, so this would be awesome for him. And the prie is not bad either.
