This Healthy Breakfast Foods by Quaker post is brought to you by BzzAgent and Quaker.
Mornings at the Horsley homestead can be a little hectic. There are five people, three of them going in different directions. We have Megan going off to school on the bus, Rob leaving for work, and then Anna and Ethan have preschool. People are leaving at all different times too. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but it also seems to be the most rushed.
Healthy Breakfast Foods
Quaker to the rescue! Quaker has introduced some awesome new products to their fabulous line of healthy breakfast foods and snack line. I am so happy that my kids love oatmeal. Quaker is now offering cinnamon flavored oatmeal called Perfect Portions in a resealable pouch. I love that it comes in a large pouch, as opposed to the single serve packaging. It makes it a easier to make a little more or a little less for a child for breakfast. This new Perfect Portions does not contain any sweetener either so you can add your own to it. We added brown sugar, but fruit or peanut butter would be yummy too!
Another new item that was introduced was their Big Chewy. It is fabulous tasting! It longer and wider giving you more value. I don’t know about you, but I am a bigger fan of the chewy granola bars as opposed to the crunchy ones. My kids have really enjoyed these. These bars are packed with 14 grams of whole grains. I like packing these in my purse when on the go with the kids. It is the perfect sized pick me up.
Lastly, there is the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies. There are seven packages containing four cookies each inside the box. There are 10 grams of whole grain oats per serving with these cookies. These are nice large crunchy cookies made with real chocolate chips. The packaging is great since it makes them easy to pack in school lunches, take with to work, take to the gym, or for travel.
