All three of my children were extremely excited to hear I was given an opportunity to review the Mattel Polly Pocket Hangout House Playset and the Polly Pocket Play Room Assortment.  All three of them really enjoy playing Polly Pocket Dolls together or alone, however it is my youngest daughter who enjoys dolls the most!  My oldest daughter has always been one of those kids who want everything because it sounds fun but then loses interest within 10 minutes.  Of all three children she has always been the most challenging to buy presents for.  Although I believe Anna (my youngest) may be influencing my oldest daughter somewhat since she is starting to show a little more of an interest in playing dolls.  My son (Anna’s twin brother) really likes to play with dolls too!  It is fun to see all three of them play together.

I think the biggest problem my children ever have with these play sets is the dolls and the furniture never stay upright.  These new Polly Pocket sets have suction cups on them.  It is really cool!  My oldest daughter actually turned the set upside down at one point and everything stayed suctioned.  They had so much fun moving things around and not worrying about pieces they had set up being knocked over.  Also, it was easy for all 3 kids to work with the pieces.  My twins are 4, almost 5 years old and my oldest daughter is 9 years old.  Isn’t it great to see the dolls actually standing without having to be propped up against something?

My kids have been asking for these Polly Pocket Dolls for quite sometime but I had resisted purchasing them because I did not think they would be such a huge hit!  We do own other Polly Pocket sets but they do not play with much any more.  I had not realized this set had the suction cups on them.  The suction cups make all the difference in the world to my children – it really is a genius idea!  All three children seem to like things a certain way and when it does not work they get very frustrated.  It is so nice to see them place the dolls and furniture in any configuration they want without worrying about them falling over.  I think I may have to add rooms on to this set!
