I love trying new products, skin care, make-up … everything!  I am especially very intrigued with products that are deemed as “natural”.  That is why I was very excited when I was contacted by a representative from Sibu Beauty to review one of their products.

I chose to review the Daytime Facial Cream, also known as the Repair and Protect.  A little information first though about the company and it’s products.

Bruce McMullin founded Sibu in 2003 after series of events led him to Calcutta, India where he crossed paths with an ayurvedic specialist in Chinese plants and herbs. In passing, this expert mentioned a powerful holy fruit, the Sea Buckthorn berry.  From there McMullin’s quest took him to new heights, figuratively and literally, as he journeyed to some of the most remote locations of the Himalayas to find the superior source of Sea Buckthorn that is the foundation for all Sibu products.

Each Sibu Beauty product is packed with the maximum levels of Omega 7 and the 190 other bio-active nutrients from the sea buckthorn berry to revitalize, renew, and replenish.

Given that information, you can see why I was super excited to try out this line!  Now here is all the information on the product that I was able to try out:

Our sea buckthorn facial cream, with omega 7 fatty acids, helps boost collagen production and creates the perfect barrier to moisturize, rejuvenate, repair and protect. This light, non-greasy cream is ideal for daily use and offers a pleasing, light citrus scent. It is paraben-free and cruelty-free, and contains NO dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, sodium or preservatives.

  • Promotes tissue recovery and healing
  • Rejuvenates sun damaged skin
  • Protects against environmental stress
  • Preserves health skin tone and texture
  • Boosts collagen production
  • For all skin types
  • 100% natural

This nutrient-infused facial cream is ideal for daily use, with a light citrus scent and non-greasy feel.

I have been using the Sea Buckthorn Nourishing Facial Cream now for a couple of weeks, and I am not disappointed at all – in fact, I am very impressed! I really like the light texture of the facial cream, it goes on very smooth and is not greasy.  This is great since it is for daytime use, it does not give you that heavy, greasy look under your make-up.  I do feel too that my skin did take on a brighter appearance and improved the texture of my skin – especially since it has been exposed to the very cold & dry Midwest winter.

Would I recommend investing in the Sibu Beauty line?  Absolutely!  They offer a lot of different products, including a liquid supplement and sea buckthorn seed oil – which is great if you (or your children) suffer from rosacea, eczema, acne, or dermatitis.

To see their line of products, visit the Sibu Beauty website or you can visit their store locator to find a retailer by you – I was surprised at how many places very near to me sold this beauty line.  You can also follow them on Twitter or Facebook to keep up with all the latest news!

I received free products to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
