Welcome to another month of the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. This month our theme is Thanksgiving. Although we should be thankful for so many things throughout the year, oftentimes we get bogged down with the trial and tribulations of daily life. In doing so, it’s very easy to lose focus on those things we value most.
Season Of Being Thankful
I think when we take the time to write down things we are thankful for, we start to recognize what is most important to us. A thankful list kind of hits a reset button on us to make sure that our focus is in align with those things we find dearest.
For this months card, I wanted to focus on Fall colors. I used Blackberry Bliss Card Stock for the base of this card, with a layer of Delightful Dijon, and Lost Lagoon. For the maple leaf image was created using the Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set. I used the Versamark Ink Pad with the clear emboss powder to create the maple leaf. Next I used the blender pen with the following ink colors to color in parts of the maple leaf, Delightful Dijon, Lost Lagoon, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Blackberry Bliss.
I had a lot of fun coloring in the maple leaf. I enjoyed seeing how all the colors looked together to create a nice fall image. The sentiment “Believe” is in BlackBerry Bliss and is heat embossed with clear emboss powder. The smaller leaves, from the same stamp set, are stamped in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede.
Lastly, again using the Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set, I used the Emily Bronte quote for the inside of the card. I again used Blackberry Bliss ink and heat embossed it with the clear emboss powder.
I really like how this card turned out, the colors created just the right feel that I wanted for this card.
Make sure you check out the bottom of this post to hop on over to the blog on this hop to see their project for the month!
