I have to admit, participating in the weekly Mojo Monday sketch image challenge has definitely helped me think more outside of the box. I love how they are stretching my imagination…and my creativeness!
Sketch Image Challenge
This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Image Challenge featured a tag on the front as the main focal point.
This week I had wanted to create a card that was not focused on a specific season. I own an Etsy Shop and need to build up my card supply there. I like to offer a variety of cards on my site over there, combining holiday cards with traditional birthday, thank you, thinking of you, etc.
I knew I wanted to use the bursting sun and butterfly from the Kinda Electric Stamp Set. I also wanted to use bright colors for this card. I chose to use a retired set of designer series paper (DSP) that coordinates with Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, and Wild Wasabi.
In order to make the colors pop a bit on this card I embossed the gold sunburst, as well as the “Believe” sentiment from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. I then made a coordinating envelope using the Envelope Liners Framelits Die for the liner with the DSP. I love how this matched set turned out for this project.
Here is the recipe of stamps and accessories used to make this card:
