I have very good memories of White Castle, and their "sliders". I grew up living with my mom and grandparents just outside of Chicago.  My grandpa would like to drive through White Castle and get a sack of sliders to bring home. It is just one of the many fond memories I have of my grandparents.

Up until the age of 4, my daughter Megan was in a home daycare.  Every once in a while they would get sliders for the kids' lunch.  They said it was the perfect size for their little hands.  The kids really enjoyed their sliders, and not only were they the perfect size for their hands but also for their tummies!

Recently a fellow blogger had posted something about just having her first slider.  I thought it was funny that not only had she not ever had one before, but that she was so excited about having one!  I grew up with a White Castle close to our home and I also have one very close to our home now.  Since Megan's years in a home daycare we have added on to your family and now have twins who are 4 years old.  The sizes of the sliders are still perfect for their little hands and tummies too.

Great article, my first memories of White Castle, was when I was a kid, going to Chicago to visit my grandmother, and my older sister who lived with her there. On Occasion we would stop while we were there, but mostly we would get a sack or two on the ride back home.  They never made it all the way home.  I was probably about 8 to 13 during that time, and Sliders were only 12 cents back then, such a difference from today.
