There are a couple of upcoming Disney film releases that we are really excited to see. “The Good Dinosaur” will be released on November 25th and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be released on December 18.
Prior to kids, our family used to go see a movie on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Although we really enjoyed that tradition, it did get much more challenging to keep up once my sister and I starting having children. Plus, our extended families have grown. However, we would love to figure out a way to start that tradition again. All of our kids are getting a little older now with my oldest nephew is in his first year of high school, while the youngest of the children are my 8-year old twins.
Upcoming Disney Film Releases
The Good Dinosaur
“The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
The voice cast for this film is: Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand, Marcus Scribner, Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, and Sam Elliott.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
I remember many years ago when the first of the Star Wars movies started being released. I loved the original cast of characters: Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Princess Leila, R2D3, 3CPO, and Darth Vader. I admit, when the rest of the movies were released with Jabba the Hutt and the rest of the crew, I was not as thrilled. However, this newest release brings back these original characters.
The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Lawrence Kasdan & J.J. Abrams and Michael Arndt.
Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take you back again to a galaxy far, far away as “Star Wars” returns to the big screen with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
