5 Blogging Productivity Tools for Content Management and Social Media

Blogging Productivity Tools

There seem to be more and more productivity apps available everytime I turn around. What apps do you really need though for productivity? There are several blogging productivity tools I’ve used for quite some time now for my blog, which work very well for me. Today, I’d like to share them with you.

Bullet Journal

I’ve been using a Bullet Journal instead of a traditional planner for about 1 1/2 years now, and love it. What I love is that you can make it uniquely yours, making it a place for everything. Not only your daily task list, but as your calendar, note taking, journaling, future plans, doodling, sketching, or anything else that comes to mind. Keep it as plain or as decorated as you like.

Trello

I use Trello for content management. It has also been extremely helpful in brainstorming ideas for blog posts. I have a column of post ideas, which include the blog category, that I can quickly go to and start drafting. Trello has a mobile app too, so if a post idea comes up while I’m out, I can quickly add it to Trello. I don’t know how many times I’ve thought of a post idea only to forget what it was later in the day.

CoSchedule

CoSchedule is excellent for tracking your marketing campaigns. After my blog post is completed, I then go to CoSchedule below my drafted blog post, since I have CoSchedule installed as a plugin on WordPress. Drafting my social media for the time of posting, best time, next day, in a week, a month, or any other customizations is super easy. I can then view my marketing schedule in one location. This app also offers analytics, team workflows, ReQueue, and much more.

Buffer

I have been using Buffer for a very long time. I use Buffer mostly for sharing other people’s blog posts to various social media. It is especially convenient when you have a Facebook thread you are working on. You can set a schedule for Buffer to post in what time increments you prefer. You then fill your Buffer with content and off it goes!

LikeItAll

I am so very thankful for this one!!! If you do social threads on Facebook, there are some that are extremely long. One that I do for Instagram always has between 300 – 400 links to “Like”. Manually, this would take forever!! However, since being introduced to the LikeItAll Chrome Extension, it does the work for you. All I have to do is open the thread in my browser, open and login to my Instagram account in another tab, then turn on the extension. You will then see it magically doing it’s work. It opens each link in a separate tab and “Likes It” for you. What you have to watch out for is I will get a message that I’ve exceeded my Like count. I then have to wait 2 minutes for it to clear. In the meantime, I go back to the page that it paused on and like it manually.
