Character Over Reputation

Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

John Wooden – Successful Basketball Player & Coach

Many of us wish to have a great reputation. However, it is the enduring qualities closest to us that are the most accurate and can define our character traits. Character begins with a person’s thoughts. Thoughts lead to behaviors that lead to habits that lead to rooted character traits. Begin by taking a self-inventory. If you find it difficult to take an inventory of your qualities or character traits, turn to someone close to your such as a friend or spouse. Should you find yourself with undesirable habits that are leading you in the wrong direction, take action quickly to eliminate that habit or replace it with a healthy one. Your mindful habits can redirect you in a positive path. You are worth it!
