Cool Science Projects on Netflix to Spark Interest #NetflixKids

Many kids just went through, or will be going through, Science Fairs at their school. To me, it is always so mind blowing when I see the cool science projects that kids display at these fairs. However, there are times when a subject may seem boring to a child until they actually see it. This is one area that I like having my children get visuals on TV through Netflix.

Cool Science Projects on Netflix Spark Interest

Some of my children’s favorite shows are all science based. My kids adore the show Fetch with Ruff Ruffman, which is part of the PBS Kids programming. They have very cool science projects that they show on this program that the kids like to try duplicating at home. One experiment they recently duplicated was reaction of different items with baking soda.

Another science show our whole family enjoys is Mythbusters from the Discovery Channel. In this show the two main characters try to disprove different myths. Ever wonder if the 5 second rule is really true? How about if cell phones really interfere with plane instruments? Does the color red really make bulls angry? These are just some of the many myths they seek to uncover. The co-hosts of this show, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, are very entertaining themselves!

Jimmy Neutron is another show the kids enjoy watching. This is more of a cartoon type show about a boy genius who invents all sorts of gadgets and gizmos. He man-made dog named Goddard, and has all sorts of adventures.

The last show I have to mention is Peep and The Big Wide World. This show is so adorable, and offers a lot of humor for adults too! This show has two stories per episode. Each story focuses on a specific problem and then uses science to solve it. Each show then has real kids work with the same concepts in ways that can be easily reproduced at home. This show is a keeper!
