Earn Money For Schools While Shopping #BTFE

I admit, prior to having children of my own, I was pretty clueless that Box Tops even existed. However, now that I have kids, I always shop for the best value and for those items that have a Box Tops label on them. This is a great and easy way to earn money for schools while shopping for our household products.

Earn Money For Schools with Box Tops

Megan started 7th grade this year, so this is our 8th year with Box Tops. Now the twins are in 2nd grade, so we will be helping our schools out for many years to come. Our school has us attach our Box Tops to sheets of paper that look like large bingo cards. Then the class that collects the most Box Tops wins extra recess.

In all honesty, there is no way my anal self would allow those Box Tops above to go to school with my children. I do cut them very neatly before they are attached to the sheets of paper. It would drive me insane to have them go all torn like that. 🙂 Below is how they look all neatly cut.

What do Box Tops bring to your schools?

  • Box Tops are worth $0.10 for your child’s school
  • Box Tops is one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs.
  • Over 80,000 k-8 schools participate
  • Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need.
  • Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.

I know our schools use the funds raised from Box Tops for the 5th Grade Outdoor Education program. This is a great experience for the kids that allows children to learn outdoor science, more about the environment, and even some outdoor activities. It is a week-long trip of camping in cabins chaperoned by parents and school staff. This helps keep the costs down for families.

This past weekend the kids and I were doing our grocery shopping at Walmart and came across a lot of products worth 5 Box Tops. I felt like we had hit the lottery. There were a lot of products with this 5 Box Tops deal. I also bought quite a few items that were the single Box Tops. There are a ton of items we buy every single day that has Box Tops, such as granola, frozen pizza, yogurt, snacks, cereal, taco shells, boxed cook mix, and a whole lot more.

Does your school collect Box Tops For Education? You know you can even collect Box Tops for your local schools even if you do not have kids or have any that are in school.

Look for another post in the next day about how I created a fun way with my kids to shop for Box Tops while at Walmart. The whole experience of shopping with three kids was much more fun!
