Family TV Night On Netflix Fuller House

What is your view on Family TV Night these days? I was born in the 60’s, grew up watching shows in the 70’s and 80’s. Maybe some 60’s too…The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Dream of Jeannie, and Bewitched. Loved them! During this time though, TV programs were way more censored. This was before Cable, DSL, and Dish Network. Some of the popular shows I grew up watching were Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Full House, Little House On The Prairie, and others. In general, the shows were fairly mild in theme and language.

Fuller House

Since starting a family in 2003, I’ve come to realize there are a limited amount of shows I can watch with the whole family. Most television programs use inappropriate language or are a little too explicit for my younger ones. That’s one of the many reasons I am so excited to have “Fuller House” available to watch with my family. I had such a huge crush on John Stamos when Full House aired.

Family TV night is back. Watch Fuller House on #Netflix.

It is so fun seeing how much the girls from Full House have grown. Stephanie Tanner, pictured above with Uncle Jessie, is so grown and mature. As is D.J. Tanner, who is a beautiful adult. I have a really hard time recognizing her as the child. To me, Kimmy and Stephanie’s features have not changed much since they were kids.

The basic premise with Fuller House resonates with Full House on a very basic level. The series premiere begins with a family reunion with all the old cast members, minus the sister Michelle. DJ Tanner is now a grown woman, a veterinarian, and a mother of 3 boys. She is recently widowed and is not sure how she is going to do it all on her own. Kimmy and Stephanie offer to move in with DJ and help her out with the boys, and life after Tommy (her now deceased husband). DJ agrees and hence the story begins again.

In Fuller House, DJ is taking on the role of Danny, while Stephanie and Kimmy represent the roles of Jesse and Joey. Also, moving into the Tanner home is Kimmy’s spunky teenage daughter Ramona. DJ’s has a teenage son of her own, as well as a 7-year-old, and a baby.

Below is a really cute video of the DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy putting on their dancing moves to the ever so popular song, “Watch Me Whip / Nae Nae”.

Fuller House has already been extended a second season. TV Time for the Family is a priority for Netflix. You can see more programs available for you and your family below:
