How to Drink While Dieting Book Tour

Drink While Dieting

Trying to diet but still being social can be a somewhat challenging.  Especially since drinking while dieting has always been known to be taboo.  Thanks to How To Drink While Dieting, that no longer has to be the case.  This book is filled with research on the benefits of drinking, 101 alternate cocktail recipes that go into depth on ingredients, proportions and calories per serving.  For each alternate recipe it gives you the calories of the drink it would represent without being “skinnied”.  For instance, the Spicy Pineapple Margarita is 182 calories compared to the pre-made Margarita mix at 290 calories.

The author of How to Drink While Dieting, Michael Cecchin, wanted readers of this book to know that dieting does not have to include the elimination of things you love to do.  He also wanted to inform readers that staying away from alcohol while dieting is a bit of myth.  There are benefits to drinking, however it does have to be done correctly.  He, along with some of the best Master Mixologists give you tips on how to cut down on calories, but still gain the essence of the original cocktail.

Some of the chapters included in this book is Mixology, this section goes over the different glassware, equipment, technology,  infused alcohol, garnishes, a simple syrup recipe and a stevia syrup.

Other chapters of this book include:

  • Retro Cocktails
  • Blended low Calorie Cocktails
  • Quick and Easy Low Calorie Cocktails
  • Low Calorie Classics
  • After Dinner Cocktails
  • Wine
  • Beer
I decided to try my hand at making the Fresh Garden Martini.  It is only 166 calories, as opposed to the Traditional Martini, which is 200 calories.
It was very good, and the perfect end to a long day!

On September 10th, each blogger in the How to Drink While Dieting book tour will be hosting a giveaway of the 201 page eBook.  The winner will receive a 200 page PDF version of the book, as well as “The Truth About Alcohol Diet Audio Coaching!!”
