Itty Bitty Blogathon – Ends March 24

Itty Bitty Blogathon

This weekend is the itty Bitty Blogathon! A couple of months ago I participated in the BiAnnual Blogathon, which was a great opportunity to learn new things and catch up on some old things.

Again, my goal is to catch up and get ahead.

However, the Itty Bitty Blogathon has had to take a backseat to other last minute things. Have you ever had those days that you feel you just need to go back to bed? This has been my day. The day did not really start going south until around noon today.

I am in a parenting workshop at our church every Saturday morning. They offer childcare there too, which works great. So this morning the kids and I went over to the church. After the workshop I had plans to take the kids to Barnes and Noble. I had brought a breakfast bar to tide them over, thinking we would just be there for about 30 minutes. Our main reason for going there was to get Megan the Minecraft for Dummies book. We found the problem without a problem, but the book was for the computer Minecraft. Megan only has the iPod version. I had already told Anna and Ethan they could pick something out. Anna chose a Barbie coloring book, and Ethan chose a huge Thomas sticker book. Once Megan was no longer getting the Minecraft book, she then went on a mission to find something to buy. This mission lasted for about 2 hours.

The only thing she really wanted was a small stuffed animal. I told her we are at a book store…I’m not getting her a stuffed animal from there. In the end she ended up getting a book called “Scary Stories”. She really does enjoy that book so I’m glad she got it, but it was an excruciating long 2 hours. By the time we got out of Barnes & Noble, the kids were starving. I really had not intended to take them to lunch, but given the circumstances I did. We went to Johnny Rockets, which was very nice. The kids had fun and ate like champs.

We came home and then took the dog for a walk. Came home from that, and then the garage door opener broke. Rob and his dad just installed this new garage door opener last weekend. I spent over an hour trying to fix it since Rob still does not have much use of his right arm. It was the chain that came off the trolley, if that makes sense. I learned a lot about our garage opener during my hour with it! Through some trials and tribulations I eventually got the chain reconnected. The only problem is, it goes down first and then comes back up about 4 inches. Then when it opens, it only opens about 4 feet. Unfortunately, I was not able to get it fixed properly. I think it is a two adult job and needs to be reset some how.

After I came in the house from doing that, our pantry door broke. It actually broke 3 x’s…I fixed it each time, but it is probably on its way out. After fixing the door, it was time to make dinner. Pancakes and sausage, easy, right? The pancakes kept getting stuck to the bottom of the pan. So quite a few pancakes turned out in pieces…bad. I ended up having to spray the pan every time I made another batch of pancakes.

Fun day, right? I hope your day went well!!

I am still planning on getting a couple of things done tonight, but I think I should go to bed soon! ❤
