Make It A Great Day Tuesday Series Week 3

Okay, working on consistency here! This is three weeks in a row that I have kept up with this make it a great day Tuesday series. It may not seem like much to you, but I think it is the gemini in my that makes me get bored easily and jump on to something else!

Whether this is your first time, or your third time…Welcome! Grab some coffee (or tea) sit back, relax, and have a few laughs. 🙂 For this weeks series, I decided to post some funny headlines from the Jay Leno show. I have not posted any of those in a while, and always find them to be quite funny!

Make It A Great Day Tuesday

What are you doing to make it a great day today?

Today we are not doing a whole lot. The kids go back to school the middle of next week, so we are really just focusing on taking advantage of the last few days of “summer”. I am working on playdate’s for Megan with friends from school so she can re-establish those friendships before the first day of school.

The weather has been really nice here in Illinois the past week, not too hot or cool. We are taking this opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors, like going to the zoo, dog park and long bike rides while we can. Once it gets in the upper 80’s or low 90’s it gets way too humid to do any type of activity outside. Those are the days we spend up at the pool.

Last week we went to the Brookfield Zoo, a local zoo in Brookfield, Illinois, and spent the entire day there. It was a gorgeous day, and we had a blast with the kids. I did get some great shots of the kids and animals, so I will do a post on that in the near future. I do have a few pictures I posted to Instagram if you want to check those out!

I hope you have a fantastic day and week!

About the Author

I am a work from home mom who dearly loves her 15-year-old daughter, 11-year-old boy/girl twins, and husband. I love my life and feel very blessed by what God has provided for me.

  1. I love the Weight Watcher one – I grew up about 3 hours from Port St. Lucie.

Years ago, Leno posted a snippet from a neighboring town where I lived for over thirty years. This is terrible – but a local funeral home there is called Crisp Coon. What where they thinking when they used their last names for a funeral home that does cremations in the south.

BTW – thanks for your comment on my Farting Baby Hippo post. Ya learn something new everyday. Apparently hippos are notorious Poop Flingers:-)
