Rubber Stamping Christmas Cards

rubber stamping

I am not what I would say a very crafty person, but I do enjoy making my own cards by rubber-stamping.  I had done it for years then took a break when my children were first, recently started up with this hoppy again.  To me it is fun, and just a mental break from life in general.

Most of the stamps I buy are premade, but I also like use stamps that are more personalized.  For instance, I like having a stamp with my address on it, my business name or even ones with the date.  Did you know you could create your own rubber stamps? There are even social media stamps you can customize with your own information.

Currently I am making all of my Christmas cards this year.  I am so excited about this project I have taken on.  I have wanted to do this for years but was a little overwhelmed with taking it on with the children being so young.  Finally they are at a good age to allow me a little time on my own.  However, it is still a little challenging finding the time in general to get it all done.

When I am not making Christmas cards, I enjoy keeping my stock of Birthday cards up and making special holiday cards as well.  Cards such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, and even St. Patrick’s Day are all fun holidays to make cards for.

There are even cards available now that you can buy and ensemble yourself.  They come with the card and the embellishments and other things to make the card, but you can create the look.  Those are fun to make for those who want to personalize a card, but may not necessarily want to create the card from scratch.

What types of cards do you like giving to people?  Do you like to create yours from scratch, or do you like to buy yours completely done so all you have to do is the signing?
