The Botanical Blooms stamp set is 25% off (available through May 22) and the framelits are 50% off, but only while supplies last! You can find out more about retiring items here!

I seem to have this inability to create two cards exactly the same. Perhaps it’s the ADHD in me! I always feel like I need to create subtle changes with whenever I make duplicate cards.

Simple and Pretty Handmade Card - Mothers Day. Created using Stampin' Up! products, Botanical Blooms and Gorgeous Gunge.

Both cards were created using Whisper White Thick Cardstock as the backbone, cut at 5 1/2 x 11 then scored and at scored at 4 1/4. I then layered a piece of whisper white cardstock on top of the Thick Cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals. That layer was cut to 5 1/4 x 4, 1/4 of an inch smaller than the card base.

The Leaves

The leaves are in Old Olive, using the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies. The leaf in the middle was stamped with Old Olive ink prior to being cut.

Both cards used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set with Old Olive Ink for the background. Once the stamp was inked, I stamped off once prior to stamping so the spots would be a little bit more subtle.

The Flowers

For the flowers, I wanted them to be bright and cheerful. I used cardstock in Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie that were cut using the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies, both layered with Daffodil Delight. For the middle of the flowers I used Brights Enamel Shapes. Both flowers and the middle leave are popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the finishing touches, small rhinestones are added, as well as the sentiment “World’s Best Mother” using a retired stamp set called “A Nice Cuppa”.

Finally, I stamped the inside sentiment using Teeny Tiny Wishes in Old Olive. I then stamped a small flower arrangement in each card, as well as on the envelope to tie it all in.
